Window Repair & Installation
Windows that frame the view and keep the weather out.
Mountain homes take a beating from wind, rain, and temperature swings. We repair failing windows, install replacements, and add new openings — with flashing and sealing done right so they perform for years.

Repair or replace?
Not every drafty window needs replacing. Worn weatherstripping, failed caulk, broken hardware, or a damaged sash can sometimes be repaired. Fogged insulated glass, soft or rotted frames, and water stains on the wall below usually point to replacement — and to checking the surrounding framing.
We'll inspect the window and the wall around it and give you a straight assessment of which approach makes sense.
Installation is where performance is won or lost
Even the best window will leak if it's poorly installed. We pay close attention to sill pans, flashing sequence, sealing to the weather barrier, and insulating the gap between window and framing. On exposed mountain sites with wind-driven rain, those details matter.
Choosing the right window
Frame material, glass coatings, and operating style all affect comfort, maintenance, and appearance. We'll help you compare options and read energy-performance labels so you can choose windows that suit your home's exposure and style.
New openings and larger views
Adding a window or enlarging an opening to capture a view involves cutting into the wall structure. We plan headers, framing, and exterior trim so the new opening looks like it was always there.

Things to plan for
Lead times
Custom-sized windows often need to be ordered weeks in advance.
Hidden damage
Rot around an old window may only be visible once it's removed.
Weather windows
Openings are best replaced during stretches of dry weather.
Common questions
- Why is my window fogged between the panes?
- That usually means the insulated glass seal has failed. Sometimes the glass unit can be replaced; sometimes the whole window is the better choice.
- Can you replace just a few windows?
- Yes. We can replace individual windows and help match the style of the ones that remain.
- Do you fix the wall if there's rot?
- Yes. Damaged framing or sheathing found during removal is repaired before the new window goes in.
